Pakapindo Media Development (Doraemon Smart Pocket Board) in The Thematic Learning for Class III

Abstrak

Elementary school is a formal educational institution. Every school has a mandatory program in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture protocol, namely the habit of introducing various cultures in Indonesia before lessons. And sing the national song to instill a sense of nationalism. Thus students can understand their rights and obligations as good citizens.

                    This study aims to develop Pakapindo media for thematic learning for third grade elementary school students. Understanding what the media development process looks like, what the quality of the media is like, and how the media is applied. This research is an R&D-oriented 4D model from S. Thiagarajan et al., which was modified, designed, developed, and disseminated by researchers using Define. The object of research is the third grade students for the 2020/2021 academic year.

The technique of collecting validity data is using media validation questionnaires, practicality data using the results of questionnaire assessments, media validation, and student learning test data. Based on field trials, the results of the revised validity assessment were in the valid category with an overall average of 83.25. Then the learning outcomes of students with an average of 86, the number of students completed with a percentage of 90% or 9 people and a percentage of 10% or 1 person who did not complete.                                                                                                                                             

Thus the media that has been developed is declared to be effectively used in the learning process. And the practicality in terms of the results of the validity is 83.25 with a slightly revised category. It can be concluded that the development media fulfills the valid, practical and effective aspects so that it is feasible to use it to improve the quality of reading and writing literacy learning.
