The Effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) Model on Creative Thinking Ability of Class V Students on Theme 8 Sub-Theme 1 Learning 1 at SDN Kedungotok

The main problem in this study is how the influence of the project based learning model on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade students on theme 8 sub-theme 1 learning 1 at SD Negeri Kedungotok. This research is an experimental research. The experimental design used in this study is a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kedungotok which consisted of 1 class consisting of 15 students, 11 women and 4 men. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method which consisted of 15 students, 11 female students and 4 male students. The data collection technique was carried out using the test method (Essay Test) to obtain data on students' creative thinking skills and the observation method to determine student activities during the study. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the ability to think creatively is better than before the project based learning model was applied. Based on the students' average scores, the pre-test was 57.5 and the post-test was 84.16. The results of inferential statistical analysis using the t test formula with a significant level = 5% obtained t_hitung = 8.66 and t_table at = 5% and db = (15 –1) = 14 in the t_table = 1.76. Because t count > t table, this shows that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the research above, it was concluded that the project-based learning model had an effect on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade students on theme 8 sub-theme 1 learning 1 at SD Negeri Kedungotok in the 2022 school year.
