Abstract

One part that cannot be separated from efforts to improve learning outcomes is improvement in the form of innovative learning media. By using learning media in the teaching and learning process can help teachers to clarify the presentation of material so that it is verbal and provide stimulation and arouse student learning interest. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of using instructional media on student learning outcomes using the Power Director video on the material of the name of the capital city and currency of ASEAN class VI at UPT SDN 317 Gresik. This study uses the True-Experimental Design method using the PretestPosttest Control Group Design. Data collection was carried out in two meetings. Two classes were obtained as research samples by dividing class VI students into two classes, namely VI A as the control class and VI B as the experimental class. To determine the effect of using Power Director video media, students were given PreTest and Post-Test. Pre-test is given to students before being given treatment at the beginning of learning while post-test is given after receiving treatment at the end of learning. From the results of hypothesis testing it is also stated that Ha is accepted with the provisions of ð‘¡ð‘ð‘œð‘¢ð‘›ð‘¡(3,042) > ð‘¡ð‘¡ð‘Žð‘ð‘™ð‘’ (2,262), Thus it can be concluded that Media Video Power Director has an effect on student learning outcomes in social studies class VI at UPT SDN 317 Gresik.
