Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of roulette media on thematic learning on student learning outcomes, this research is a quantitative research with the type of Pre-Eksperimental Design with the design used is one group pretest-posttest design. In this study, there were two meetings where at the first meeting students were given learning by not using roulette media and at the second meeting students were given learning using roulette media. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of an initial test (pre-test) and final test (post-test). The data analysis used was in the form of parametric statistical analysis using the SPSS program. The results of this study can be concluded that: student learning outcomes before using the roulette media obtained an average value of 58,75 seen from the student pre-test scores. Student learning outcomes after using roulette media obtained an average of 86,75 seen from the results of students posttest scores. The influence of roulette media on student learning outcomes can be seen from the hypothesis test using the t-test which shows that the significance value 0,000 < 0,05, so the hypothesis H1 in this study is declared accepted. That is, in this study the learning media used greatly affects student learning outcomes in thematic learning in fifth grade students at SDN Kedungotok Tembelang Jombang.
