Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student learning discipline at SDN Tengaran 2. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to describe the form of student learning phenomena, describe how to grow student discipline and describe democratic parenting patterns that can foster student learning discipline at SDN Tengaran 2 Peterongan District, Jombang Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive type of research. The subjects of this study were parents, education staff and students. The data collection method used is the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained by using source triangulation, time triangulation and technical triangulation. The results showed that; 1) The form of student learning discipline at SDN Tengaran 2 can be seen from 4 aspects, namely; a) obeying learning activities at school, b) obeying regulations, c) carrying out their duties and d) learning discipline. 2) How to cultivate student learning discipline at SDN Tengaran 2 by providing direct examples. 3) Democratic parenting is applied in fostering student learning discipline by setting a good example before ordering children to be disciplined, giving rewards and punishments so that children are more disciplined and motivated and familiarizing children from an early age to always behave in a disciplined manner by prioritizing common interests and considering all matters. something without imposing the will of parents.
