Hubungan antara Tingkat Pendidikan Orang Tua dengan Pola Asuh Anak di Madrasah Aliyah

Abstract

Level of education and upbringing are two factors that play an important role in child development. Education is guidance that is given by one person to another to achieve what one aspires to. Parenting is a reciprocal interaction between parents and children viewed from the point of view of the quality of parent-child interaction, so that familiarity occurs in the family and two-way communication is established which can improve children's development. This research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Pacet Mojokerto with the aim of: (1) Knowing the level of education of parents, (2). Knowing how to care for children, and (3). Knowing how the relationship between the level of education of parents with parenting style. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the type of ex post facto. Data collection uses the last education certificate of parents and a questionnaire for students. The research sample is 52 students. Testing the presence/absence of a relationship between parents' educational level and parenting style using Spearman rank analysis. The results of the analysis show that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) which is equal to 0.346 which proves that there is no relationship between the level of education of parents and parenting style. Because even though there are many variations from the last level of education, parents do not distinguish how to raise children. That is, if their parents have the last level of education they can take good care of their children. On the other hand, if the parents of those whose last level of education are tertiary institutions, they are not necessarily able to care for their children properly either.
