PENERAPAN METODE DEMONSTASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI MIPA 5 SMA NEGERI I PORONG PADA KOMPETENSI DASAR LAJU REAKSI TAHUN PELAJARAN 2018/2019

Abstract

Various concepts in the Field of Chemistry Study taught by teachers will be
understood by students if students are physically, emotionally and intellectually
involved. Such conditions can be realized if demonstrations are applied in the KBM.
However, to find out the effectiveness of the use of the method, a study was
conducted which examined the problems regarding the increase in chemistry
learning outcomes by applying the Demonstration method. The purpose of this
study is: want to know the increase in student learning outcomes after the
Demonstration method is applied. This research uses action research as much as
three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: design, activity and observation,
reflection, and revision. The research objectives were students of Class XI MIPA 5
Senior High School 1 Porong. The data obtained in the form of formative test
results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of
the analysis found that student achievement has increased from cycle I to cycle III
namely, cycle I (66.67%), cycle II (76.19%), cycle III (90.48%). The conclusion of
this study is learning with the method of demonstration can have a positive effect
on student learning outcomes in the XI MIPA 5 class of SMA Negeri 1 Porong and
this learning method can be used as an alternative to learning Chemistry.
