FENOMENA BAHASA AKUN GOSIP INSTAGRAM YANG VIRAL (KAJIAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK)

Abstract

Abstract
This analysis is based on the amount of accounts in social media instagram that
contains of gossip. The accounts use a distinctive word choice and become viral among
netizens. The purpose of this analysis were:1) to describe the variations of the language
used in the discourse of gossip accounts in Instagram social media, 2) to know the
language forms used, and 3) to analyze this contexts that using Dell Hymes SPEAKING
theory. The analysis method used qualitative descriptive method. From the analysis, it
was found that: 1) the variation of the language used in the discourse of gossip accounts
in Instagram are included in the type of register, 2) the language form was found in the
gossip account discourse in Instagram can be a word and phrase. The most common word
form was the base word, which include nouns, verbs, adjectives, and interjections. The
form of the word that found can be formed through ‘plesetan’ and abbreviation.
Meanwhile, the phrase form that found manifested in a humorous sentence, 3) the context
of discourse in the gossip account in Instagram according to Dell Hymes SPEAKING
theory.
