Ethics Statement

Cartesian: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika (e-ISSN: 2809-0918) is a peer-reviewed journal, published biannually by Mathematics Education Department, Universitas Hasyim Asy'ari Jombang, Indonesia. It is available online as an open-access source as well as in print. The following section clarifies the ethical behavior of all the parties involved in the act of publishing an article in the journal, including the author, editor-in-chief, the editorial board, the reviewers, and the publisher. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

The publication of an article in Cartesian: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It is a clear reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody scientific methods. It is therefore important to agree upon the standards of expected ethical behavior for all the parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, editor, reviewers, publisher, and society. The publisher of Cartesian: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika is obliged to take all the stages of the publishing process seriously and to recognize its ethical standards and other responsibilities. Mathematics Education Department, Universitas Hasyim Asy'ari Jombang, Indonesia is committed to ensuring that advertising, reprinting, or another commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions.
