Pesantren or Islamic boarding house is the nonformaleducation institution which is old and has a great influence to the life ofsociety. Pesantren has an important role as the central of learning,understanding, perceiving, and realizing Islamic teaching. Also, itbecomes the central of expanding Islamic sciences and establishing thecharacter, ethics and moral of society. Even, recently, many Pesantrenhave change from time to time. In the past, Pesantren only becomes thecentral of expanding religious sciences, but now, some Pesantrenbecomes the central of spreading public sciences because they alsoprovide the public education institution, starts from the elementary tothe university to adapt the development of societal need. Generally,many Pesantren in Jombang regency have not managed yet the watersanitation, food, garbage, waste, housing, inside-outside environmentalPesantren management as well. They also have not fulfilled the standardof sanity, especially in some small and traditional Pesantren. In addition,the role of Pesantren in empowering the societal productivity is verygreat in the area of social, economy, education, and religion. Themoslem scholars (santri), in general, have the modest, independent,obedient, and respectful behavior to their teachers (Kyai and Ustadz).They also have social and tolerant behavior.

Indonesian policy changes in the school and madrasah curriculum in 2014 are greatly affected by the government changeevent. Curriculum 2013 that applied in Indonesia by SusiloBambang Yudhoyono’s government began in early school year of2014-2015, on July. It suddenly changed by the new government inDecember 2013 for such reason that the curriculum needs to berevised still. This paper attempts to analyze the Arabic languagelearning in the curriculum 2013 as an evaluation and revision ofthe standard content and instructional materials Arabic languagebooks published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The resultshows that the standard content of Arabic lesson has a problem inmapping of domain knowledge and skills. The lesson materials have also never been tested and researched. It has an impact on the effectiveness of Arabic learning in the classroom.

The study about Pesantren, especially the role of Kyai leadershipfrom every aspects have often been done. This research discusses about theKyai leadership in the student‟s or santri‟s character education based on moralspiritual in Pesantren Darussalam Sumbersari Kencong Kediri. There are twofocuses in this paper: first, the Kyai leadership (especially Kyai Ahmad ZainuriFaqih). Second, the stimulant and obstacle factors of Kyai leadership in thesantri‟s character education based on moral spiritual. The finding of thisresearch are: first, the leadership of Kyai Ahmad Zainuri Faqih, in the santri‟scharacter education based on moral spiritual by growing up the values ofhumble, tolerance, help each other, cooperative, friendly to the students throughhis leadership both in kitab learning and diniyah learning. Second, the obstaclefactors is the santri‟s full-time activity from morning to night, so santri don‟thave more time to take a rest, they are tend to be lazy. The solution for thisproblem is by applying the good regulation, so every santri can divide his timeaccurately. The stimulant factor is the existence of media for giving themotivation, via kitab learning activity that directly guided by Kyai AhmadZainuri Faqih. Contemplation activity is also used to improve the spiritualeducation of santri, started by doing sunnah prayers taubat, tahajud, taubat, andhajat continued by reading istighosah arranged by Kyai Faqih Asy‟ari. The othestimulant factor is the help from graduate santri who are economically wellestablished.

Cash waqf is one of moslem societal innovation that need to besocialized for the whole moslem. The development of cash waqf has astrategic economy value. By the developing of cash waqf, some benefitscan be derived, such as: first, the amount of money waqf can be varied,so everyone who only has limited money can start giving his waqfwithout waiting for becoming a rich people or a landholder, so that bythe cash waqf program, the waqif (someone giving waqf) can do waqfeasier. Second, by money waqf, waqf properties which are an emptyland can be built for the building or to be processed as a farmland.Third, the fund from cash waqf is also used to help some Islamiceducational institutions which their cash flow is unstable and can onlygive their employees as much as needed. Fourth, in turn, hopefullymoslems can be more independent in developing education worldwithout depending on government’s educational budget that is morelimited time to time. Fifth, cash waqf fund can be used to empowersmall enterprises that are still dominating this country. The collectedfarm can be distributed for those enterprises and the profit sharing canbe used for the social need. Sixth, the cash waqf fund can help thedevelopment of sharia banking, especially BPR Sharia. The benefit ofwaqf fund, beside it is more eternal and long term, waqf fund is thecheapest waqf that must become sharia banking target. By the existenceof institution concerning cash waqf, it is hoped for giving contributionsignificantly to solve the problems relating the poverty and theimbecility that strike this country.

Generally, every scholar has a framework thinking asWestern philosophy that contains three characteristics; free, deepand speculative. Even, moslem scholars are bounded to theWestern philosophical style of thinking. They understandreligious teachings like Alquran and Hadith by the western logicalphilosophical epistemology. Therefore, many moslem scholarsdefect their religion and do not accomplish Islamic law, likeleaving five daily prayers. They tend to glorify the truth ofwestern epistemology than the truth of Islam, interpret Alquranand hadith by the western logical epistemology which bringsthem to the religious perversion. Bayani epistemology is the logicalknowledge derived from analysis and deep contemplation oftexts. Irfani epistemology is the logical knowledge derived fromintuition or knowledge gathered by heart in the form of spiritualrevelation. Burhani epistemology is the logical knowledge derivedfrom logical thinking.

School or education institution, as place of education process that can be implemented by dynamic and complex system. The main activity of school is human resource management. Quality human resources preparation can be reached only by education quality. All of education system component must complete main standard quality. The organization can increase and endure its quality by build system of increasing quality. Once of them is TQM (Total Quality Management). TQM based on satisfaction as main target. Customers can be different to internal and external customer. In education, internal is manager of education management, such as school principle, teachers, staff, and school operator. The focuses of this research are: (1) Teacher quality in SMP Misykat Al-Anwar Kwaron, Jombang, (2) Implementation TQM on increasing teacher quality in SMP Misykat Al-Anwar Kwaron, Jombang, (3) Supporter and resistor factors of implementation TQM on increasing teacher quality in SMP Misykat Al-Anwar Kwaron, Jombang. The researcher uses field research method (qualitative descriptive). The technique of data collecting uses observation, interview, discussion, and documentation. In this research, have discovered that teacher quality at SMP Misykat Al-Anwar Kwaron Jombang, is teacher who have elected and selected well. To know the teacher professionalism can be looked through education grade, certification, and training education program, and teacher competent test. Implementation of TQM in increasing teacher quality through teacher recruitment, so teacher have elected and selected are teacher who have skills and creativities. Quality improvement in SMP Misykat Al-Anwar Kwaron Jombang can be implemented by consultation, building, workshop, seminar, and teacher training. The supporter factors of implementation TQM on increasing teacher quality is influenced by external and internal factors. To real this matter, school principle create good job condition by protect togetherness inter group, give opportunity to express opinion, give motivation and build work spirit to concern commitment which have decided, so activities can continue well.Keywords: Implementation, Total Quality Management, Teachers Quality

Al-Azhar Kairo is a symbol of Islamic progress many generations, which Al-Azhar Kairo is an Islamic educational institution that is able to create ulama'-scholars, jurists', students which are able to contribute to Islamic education, especially education of pesantren in Indonesia. Various schools in Indonesia actually have the characteristics of the different education and learning. The characteristics of education and learning in pesantren prove from the ideas and concepts of the leaders and administrators of the cottage. In this case, the head of the cottage PMDG as well several cadres of pesantren have scientific background of the University of Al-Azhar Kairo. Thus directly or indirectly, the process of transformation of philosophy and scientific values occur through programs and activities of the cottage, particularly programs and curriculum activities at KMI. The research problems are: 1. What is the pattern of relations between Al-Azhar Kairo and Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. 2. What forms of intellectual interrelation alumni of Al-Azhar Kairo in curriculum development in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. This study uses field research, qualitative descriptive research approach. To analyze the data,the researcher uses data reduction data presentation and verification of data. The researcher collects the data using interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded as follows: 1. The patterns of relationship between Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor and Al-Azhar Kairo is the pattern of socio-intellectual that with their experience of traveling overseas, cottage cadre delegation to continue the study and a cadre delegation cottage coaching preachers-preachers in the world, as well as its cooperation in the field of education, both with moral and material support. 2. The form and the process of transformation is done interrelation of Intellectual alumni of Al-Azhar Kairo in curriculum development Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, either directly or indirectly lead to the development of language, curriculum development and teaching materials development, with reference to some of the works and literature classic of Al-Azhar Kairo in learning activities.Keywords: Intellectual, Al-Azhar Kairo, PMDG, curriculum development

Komparasi Kalender Jawa Islam dan Hijriyah (Analisis Kalender Berbasis Lunar Sistem)

The calendar system is the important thing for human’s life to know the time and this calculation. Nowadays, calendar in the world based on movement from the Sun (solar system) or Moon (lunar system). Especially in Islamic (Hijriyah) and Javanese calendar, altought both of them based on lunar system, in application they have different rules. We can’t say that 1 Ramadhan is always same with 1 Poso or 1 Dhulhijjah is certainly 1 Besar. To know beginning of the month in Islamic calendar need the astronomical data, that is position of Moon and Sun when conjunction, the height of two object and others. Its mean, need calculation (hisab) or observe (ru’yah) to know that. But in Javanese, the date is always same. 29 days in even months and 30 days in odd months. So that, it can be important cause Hijriyah need to worship for Islamic people and Javanese close to culture and social calendar in Java community in Indonesia.Keywords: Lunar system, Islamic calendar, Javanis calendar

Desain Pembelajaran PAI Realistik di Sekolah Dasar Inklusi Berbasis ICT (Suatu Design Research dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam SD Inklusi di Kabupaten Jombang)

Innovation of Learning PAI in SD Inclusion is indispensable in the midst of learning patterns PAI, it is still centered on the non-inclusion SD. People are still paying less attention to the existence of SD Inclusion as one entrusted primary school children with special needs, particularly in the districts of Jombang. It underlies researchers design learning model PAI Realistic ICT-based learning (PPR). The specific objective of this study was to produce a prototype design of PPR, and see the effectiveness of their application in teaching in elementary PAI Inclusion Jombang. While the long-term goal of this research is the result of the design of PPR model design can be used as an enrichment of teaching materials and can be used as a foundation for enhancing the quality of learning PAI SD Inclusion. The method used is Design Research which each cycle consisting of the stages of preparation for the experiment (preparatory studies), design experiment (the implementation of the design of experiments) and retrospective analysis (analysis of data obtained from the previous stage). The study was conducted in three elementary Inclusion Jombang. Steps taken at the stage of preparation for the experiment (preparatory studies) is the study of literature, discussions with teachers, designing learning model Realistic SD PAI Inclusion ICT and initial design study. While at the design stage of the experiment (the implementation of the experimental design) data collection and testing in 3 SD Inclusion Jombang. The results of this study indicate that the model PPR can stimulate and improve students' understanding of concepts as well as to foster a love of students towards subjects PAI. Character is currently being extremely crowded into the discussion and research for the observer, as well as educational practitioners in Indonesia. Problems began to loss of national character is expressed as the impact of stuttering technology and social patterns. The importance of clear concepts and theories and comprehensively to the character of the nation, should start early generations of children of the nation. This character should be a concern of people everywhere, both in the community that have been developed, and the community is still growing. Because the damage to the character is associated with the mindset, attitudes, and human behavior. If a lot of people who damaged public character, then the impact can harm others. In this context, the deterioration of our nation could be caused by deterioration of the character of the individuals in it. Therefore, the religious teachings containing a high character values that govern the lives of Muslims and is a way of life in all its actions. If the behavior is shown in accordance with the norms in force, such behavior is considered good and acceptable. Character or ethical conduct (ethics) is identical to the action that is based on religion. Character or ethical conduct is not the act done with the intention of obtaining the benefits of the materialistic-individualistic, even if done for love of neighbor or because of the beauty of an act or for beauty. Various concepts of character formation of the students has been defined in a number of scientific research results. Practical theory character management of learners to patterns that refers to the formation of character among students at the school are found. The importance of the role of educator and how hard it duties and responsibilities, especially the responsibility of the character for "digugu” and “ditiru" are the words, actions and behavior. At home they become the foundation of the welfare of the family, at school they become the size of rules or guidelines of school life: education/teaching for learners-learners, and in the community around them is seen as a "suri teladan" behavior for the citizens of surrounding communities. The success of education at the school is largely determined by success in managing the head of the educational staff in schools/madrasah. Principals have responsibility for improving the quality of teachers in achieving its objectives in addition to the government's obligations. Implementation of management education personnel (teachers and staff) in Indonesia according Mulyasa, at least include; workforce planning, procurement personnel, dismissal of personnel, coaching and development, promotion and assessment. Activities meant to show that the provision of teachers as educators very great concern in efforts to achieve the quality of the success of learners. Quality Management aims to develop human resources empowerment of teachers who are expected to engage actively pushing to improve the quality of schools/madrasah. This devotion performed on MI Urwatul Wusqo PP. Al-Urwatul Wutsqo Bulurejo, MI Perguruan Muallimat in PP Walisongo Cukir, MI Tarbiyatul Aulad Bandung in Gebang Malang Bandung and MI Ar-Rohman Nglaban Bendet. Relative activity of teacher empowerment through developing quality human resources management model in order to improve the quality of madrasah in Sub district Diwek Jombang, can be summarized as follows: 1. In the beginning, the madrasah four management models are clerical, after empowering the community service program, the fourth madrasah management models to increase to managerial model. 2. Subject devotion capable of implementing the quality management model of human resources fitted to the characteristics of each institution. 3. The quality of human resources management model developed by Principals effective enough to increase the empowerment of teachers in the fourth MI. 4. The research subjects were able to understand the quality of human resources management capabilities and strength of institutions in improving teacher quality through the transformation of the quality management of human resources. 5. The research subjects understand their duties and functions as teachers (institution Asset, facilitator, motivator, mediator, and creator) in the teaching and learning process. Entrepreneurship is a theme that remains attractively to be studied or researched, moreover the viewpoint of the Qur'an and the Hadith, as a major source of Islamic teachings. A Muslim will still need to understand and deepen it. Thus, the research aims have scientific assessment results which can be used as the basis for a Muslim in running the entrepreneurship. Independence of life and success generated by entrepreneurial activity, which also means by increased welfare, become meaningless without increasing faith and devotion. The method used in this research is literary study, it is a study carried out to solve a problem which is based on in-depth review of critical and relevant to library materials in accordance with the focus of the study. The focuses researches are: Definition of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship in general perspective, and the perspective of entrepreneurship in the Quran and hadith. All the verses and hadiths pertaining to entrepreneurial above require examination or in-depth study of reference books in the field of Quran and tafsir and hadith and syarakh (additional explanation), written by many of the scholars, we restudy, analyze, and interpret related to the newest conditions. Perkawinan Lintas Aliran (Sunni-Syi’i)

Muslims in the world-including Indonesia are divided into two major groups, namely the Sunnah and Shi'ah. Although, there are common thing unite them as the unity of Muslims, both have some disagreements that hard to be united; such as attitudes towards companions and Prophet’s wives, about Imamah and Wilayah (leadership and authority) of Ali and the Ahlul Bait, temporary marriages, tahrif al-Qur'an, and so on. Most scholars of Sunnah regard that Shi’ah as heretical / Ahlul Bid'ah, on the other hand mostly Shi’ah cleric's followers regard as Mukhalif Sunnah (the aberrant, violates the truth). As a result, it is not uncommon to open conflict between the followers of the Sunnah (Sunni) and the followers of Shi'ah (Shi'i), even to cause murdering. However, in some areas, cross breeding takes place, between a Sunni and a Shi'i, such as in Bangil Pasuruan, East Java. This study aims to explore the views of religious leaders, both Sunni and Shi'i, in Bangil, on the issue of cross-flow marriage (Sunni-Shi'i). The results showed that in dealing with cross-flow marriage (Sunni-Shi'i), Sunni in Bangil divided into three groups: (1) Conservative; prohibit absolutely. (2) Moderate; does not prohibit but also do not advocate. (3) Liberal; allow it absolutely. While Shi’i leaders agreed to take the attitude of Liberal; allow it absolutely. Marriages cross-flow (Sunni-Shi'i) has the potential to challenge more difficult life than marriage within the flow. The differences in religious rituals, traditions, political views and jurisprudence are prone to trigger psychic conflict. The ordeal is the pressure and rejection of social environment who is not ready to accept the Shi'i community members in the middle of the Sunni, or vice versa. Pengaruh Pergeseran Lempeng Bumi Terhadap Penentuan Arah Kiblat Masjid Agung Bait Al-Mu’minin Kabupaten Jombang

This study is based on many natural earthquakes due to shifting earth plates in Indonesia. Indonesia consists of three plates, namely the Australian plate, the Pacific plate and the Eurasian plate. Those becomes a problem if the earth's shifting plates change the position of Qiblat direction as a very strong earthquake occurred on May 27, 2006 in the area of Yogyakarta so they felt in other areas such as in East Java, though very small. The earthquake was caused by the seduction of the Indo-Australian plate against the Eurasian plate. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the earth's shifting plates to determine the direction of Qiblat, as well as knowing the position of the Qiblat direction mosques, with the study site of the Great Mosque Bait al Mu'minin Jombang and several mosques around as the comparison. The research is qualitative-field research with direct measurement using the tools of the Shadow of the Sun (Stick istiwa’), Magnetic Compass, Compass Qiblat and Digital Theodolite supported by some books related to this research. The results show that the earth's shifting plates can affect a shift in the direction of Qiblat, but the effect is not significant. Earth every year shifted about 7 cm to change the arc: 00000'00.00 ", whereas when the earth shifted 35 cm, then change into 00000'00.01 bow", and when the earth shifted 6 m, 600 cm / 11.1 million cm x 10 = 00000 '00 .19 '. 00.19 arc change "that took a very long time which is about 600 cm / 7 x 1 year = 85.71 years. Abstract: Educational institutions are an institution or organization engaged in the field of education as a place or place for the process of planning, managing and supervising education that aims to help and develop the intelligence of students and the components involved in it. This research is included in qualitative research. This research model uses the Snowball technique which is one of the research processes. Observations and interviews are the subject of research because the source of data from researchers, uses interviews that are accompanied by observations in the field to obtain data that is valid and in accordance with reality. By involving the founders of the madrasa, the head of the madrasa, the deputy head of the curriculum and the deputy head of the student field as the research resource. This research was conducted at the Madrasah Muallimin Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng Jombang. Madrasah Muallimin is the answer from the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School which is considered to have lost the Salaf curriculum material, so researchers are interested in what is the background and the history of Muallimin School. the establishment that was nurtured by KH Hasyim Asy'ari. In the results of this study, it is known several things related to the focus of research; first, the purpose of the establishment of the Madrasah Muallimin Tebuireng; second, in the effort to return the Salaf curriculum, it is known the process of returning the Salaf curriculum, the implementation of the Salaf curriculum, the Salaf curriculum management and the Salaf curriculum component; third, in the process of developing the Salaf curriculum, it is known that the Salaf Islamic Boarding School education system, the role of education staff, the management of the headmaster in the development of the Salaf curriculum, and the foundation of the quality of the Salaf curriculum. In the discussion it was concluded that the efforts of educational institutions in returning the Salaf curriculum at Madrasah Muallimin Tebuireng aimed to restore the Salaf curriculum which had been lost due to the existence of a general curriculum. Efforts were made, namely by gathering senior alumni and senior kyai to form an educational unit to continue the struggle of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. As for the process of developing the Salaf curriculum, it uses a system approach model and a comprehensive approach model.

Abstract: The diversity of Islamic mass organizations in Indonesia causes different interpretations of many things, especially those related to religious matters which are not the main religious law. In reality these differences are not used as a basis for mutual understanding, but are exacerbated so as to ultimately lead to internal conflict. We should be concerned that awareness of internal tolerance cannot run well and lasts endlessly. Hopes of peace and harmony in Islam will be answered if we look at the village of Jogoroto, Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency. This article focuses on how to Internalize Tasamuh Values in Community Organizations. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. And the findings obtained are that the Internalization of Tasamuh Values in the Body of Community Organizations in Jogoroto Village is manifested in their daily behavior which always puts tolerance in social life, and that has become a culture. They argue that fellow Muslims are brothers, if there is a Muslim who is hurt then other Muslims will feel it.

Abstract: The prophetic leadership model is a leadership model that is rarely studied. This leadership model is very suitable to be applied in various situations. Generally, the leadership model prioritizes scientific and experiential aspects only. Meanwhile, this prophetic leadership model requires a leader not only to have scientific and practical abilities, but also to have a strong faith or spirituality. This prophetic leadership is more attached to the uswah of the leader as the principal of the school, its ability which is driven from the aspects of high conscience and logic (intellectual intelligence) makes it easy for leaders to achieve success because what is dynamized is truth and intelligence. Such a leader's attitude makes motivation and inspiration for subordinates in shaping their character, including students in school. Based on the identification of the problems above, the researcher wants to answer the focus of the research question, namely how is prophetic leadership in fostering the character of students in school? The method of this research is conducted by library research as part of the qualitative research design. While data collection is carried out by researchers by collecting information that is relevant to the research context. This information can be obtained by researchers through books, scientific papers, and journals.

IMPLEMENTASI SUPERVISI PENDIDIKAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI MAN 3 KEDIRI

Abstract: Educational supervision is all assistance from the headmaster of madrasa aimed at the development of teachers and other school personnel in achieving educational goals, it is in the form of encouragement, guidance, and opportunities for the growth of the skills and abilities of teachers. Based on this, this study aims to determine the implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning in MAN 3 Kediri. The method used in data collection is observation, interview and documentation, while the data analysis technique uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, which is interpreted through descriptive explanations as a conclusion about supervision in improving the quality of learning. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) Implementation of educational supervision is carried out by compiling a program involving all citizens and overall, conducting upgrading through class visits, class observations, MGMP with mutual visits, training/workshops, evaluation and follow-up; (2). Improving the quality of learning through collaboration with teachers in strengthening the curriculum and developing learning tools, providing learning resources, tools and various teaching and learning facilities; (3) Implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning through guidance and curriculum development, improving teaching and learning processes, and efforts to enhance the quality of teachers through coaching and up grading; (4) Obstacles to the Implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning, namely: some teachers have not been able to deliver the material well, impromptu activities, facilities and infrastructure are damaged, coaching is often done on holidays. While the supporting factors are as follows: guidance on the content and concepts of curriculum thinking, internet facilities, madrasa books, socialization, certified teachers, adequate facilities and infrastructure in carrying out the teaching and learning process.

Abstrak: This Sorogan method system is considered a very difficult phase of the entire boarding school teaching system, because it demands patience, diligence, obedience and discipline of the students themselves, with this system I require students to actively learn in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to find out about the implementation of the sorogan method in improving the understanding of the santri about the yellow book at Al-Anwar Pacul Gowang Diwek Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. There are three problems in this research, namely: (1) How to increase students 'understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan system in understanding the mabadi' fiqih book; (2) How are the efforts to improve students' understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan method; (3) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing students' understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan method system. This type of research is a qualitative field, with a descriptive approach because this research only reveals and describes the data as it is based on facts that arise or occur at the time the research was carried out. The presence of researchers as non-participants because they are only observers. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use domain analysis. Checking the validity of data, persistence of observations, triangulation, referential adequacy and member checks. The results of the research on the implementation of the sorogan method system in improving students' understanding of the yellow book at Al-Anwar Islamic Boarding School. In their daily life, the students learn about the yellow book. In its delivery the teachers or ustadz are different methods used. One of them is the Sorogan method system. In this case the system of views is very positive. In this case the students said there were many benefits from the sorogan method. The sorogan method system is implemented inside the classroom and outside the classroom, especially in the Al-Anwar male Islamic boarding school. Constraints that occur during the method system include: their sense of ego in expressing opinions, lack of availability of reference books.

Abstract: There is a degradation of students' morality and morality which is increasing over time in society, which in turn forms habits that are not in line with religious guidance. In addition, the low religious mentality of children is also a driving force for the increasing moral degradation of students, so religious mental fostering is very necessary, especially in educational institutions. Both in Islamic educational institutions, as well as in general education institutions. The focus of this research is divided into three, namely how to develop the mental religion of children in SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang, how to preserve Islamic religious values ​​and what are the inhibiting factors or obstacles in the mental religious development of children at SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang. The purpose of this study was to identify, describe, and analyze the Religious Mental Development of Children through the Preservation of Islamic Religious Values ​​Case Studies at SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang. This type of research is a qualitative field, with a descriptive approach because this research only reveals and describes the data as it is based on facts that arise or occur at the time the research was carried out. For the research results of the title Religious Mental Development of Children through Preservation of Islamic Religious Values ​​Case Study of SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang is trying to foster and shape the mental religion of children through the preservation of Islamic religious values, namely Rahman value, Rahim value, piety value, and obedience. What is grown through the habituation of tawadhu to the teacher, accustomed to praying dhuha and praying five times a day, and accustomed to reading the Al-Qur'an.
