Abstract

Indonesian policy changes in the school and madrasah
curriculum in 2014 are greatly affected by the government change
event. Curriculum 2013 that applied in Indonesia by Susilo
Bambang Yudhoyono’s government began in early school year of
2014-2015, on July. It suddenly changed by the new government in
December 2013 for such reason that the curriculum needs to be
revised still. This paper attempts to analyze the Arabic language
learning in the curriculum 2013 as an evaluation and revision of
the standard content and instructional materials Arabic language
books published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The result
shows that the standard content of Arabic lesson has a problem in
mapping of domain knowledge and skills. The lesson materials
have also never been tested and researched. It has an impact on
the effectiveness of Arabic learning in the classroom.
