PENERAPAN METODE DEMONSTRASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL PEMBELAJARAN IPA MATERI TERAPUNG MELAYANG DAN TENGGELAM DI KELAS IV SDI MAUMERE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi terapung melayang dan tenggelam di kelas IV SDI Maumere. Penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) adalah penelitian yang dilakukan oleh guru di kelas dengan tujuan untuk memperbaiki kinerjanya sehingga hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat. Kegiatan penelitian ini dirancang dalam siklus, yang terdiri dari 2 siklus yang terencana. Setiap siklusnya terdiri atas 4 tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Ketuntasan belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPA dengan metode demonstrasi dalam pembelajaran terapung, melayang dan tenggelam sangat signifikan, yakni siswa tuntas belajar dengan nilai rata-rata kelas dari siklus I yaitu skor yang dicapai : 67,14 meningkat di siklus II dengan skor : 76,57 berartiterjadi peningkatan rata-rata skor dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 9,43.
