MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN GURU TENTANG METODE KOOPERATIF (TGT) TEAMS GAME TOURNAMENT MELALUI SUPERVISI DI SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI GELAM 2 CANDI SIDOARJO

Abstract

Abstrak  Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai hasil dari proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Kegiatan belajar mengajar yang merupakan konsekuensi bagi siswa dan diri mereka sendiri. Di sisi lain, guru menjadi tidak diminta apakah materi yang diberikan cukup diterima oleh siswa atau sebaliknya. Terlepas dari kenyataan bahwa guru perlu memberi siswa dorongan, motivasi diperlukan untuk membangkitkan semangat belajar siswa. Berdasarkan masalah yang dijelaskan oleh peneliti, diperlukan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru untuk memahami jenis TGT (Team Game Tournament) di SDN Gelam 2, Candi Sidoarjo. Tindakan sekolah direncanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah 21 guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri Gelam 2. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan dalam studi kondisi awal subjek penelitian dan kuesioner untuk mempelajari subjek setelah mendapatkan pengobatan TGT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru untuk memahami Metode Tim Game Tournament. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata pemahaman hasil belajar dengan 66,67% ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sedangkan pada siklus II adalah 90,47% dengan target yang telah ditentukan dalam pelaksanaan tindakan ini adalah 80%.  Kata Kunci: Pengawasan, Kompetensi Guru, Metode Pembelajaran.
Abstract This research was conducted as of the low level of student’s action in following the teaching and learning process in class. Teaching and learning activities are often encountered an impassiveness of students and it becomes the cause of the knowledge and skills transference’s obstruction which consequences in harming students themselves. On the other hand, the teacher becomes unsure whether the material provided is sufficiently accepted by students or the opposite. Despite the fact the teacher needs to give the students an encouragement, motivation is needed to arouse students' learning spirit. Based on the problems described by the researchers, it was realized that controlling the problem of passivity of the students is required to be lectured immediately through the application of learning methods that were more focused on improving teacher’s competence in designing learning methods. This study aims to describe the supervision in improving the ability of teachers to apprehend the TGT (Team Game Tournament) type at Gelam 2 State Elementary School Candi Sidoarjo. The school’s action planned in 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were 21 teachers of Gelam 2 State Elementary School. Techniques of data collection used an observation to determine the preliminary conditions of the study’s subjects and questionnaires to determine the condition of the study’s subjects after obtaining the TGT treatment. The results showed that the supervision can improve the ability of teachers to understand the Team Game Tournament’s Method. It can be seen from the average comprehensiveness of learning outcomes with 66.67% of the study completeness in the first cycle while in the second cycle is 90.47% with the predetermined targets in the implementation of this action is 80%.  Keywords: Supervision, Teacher Competence, Learning Methods.
