Abstract
The learning outcomes on the subject matter relationship between two lines, large and angular
types, amounted to 64.8. The value indicates that the students in 7th grade in SMP NEGERI I
WLINGI has difficulty to understand the concept on that subject matter. In addition, the
remaining methods are dominated by lecture methods, so some children are still passive. Based
on the reflection it is agreed that the problem can be solved using STAD, which is implemented
in collaboration by two mathematics teachers. The implementation of this research used a
Classroom Action Research design consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning,
implementation, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects used 37 students. The
result shows that the students can: (1) improve the observed learning outcomes of the students'
completeness reaching 91.89% at the end of cycle II. (2) Improving the quality of the students
learning process as seen from the students' activities in group discussions and class discussions
and timely group results. (3) the perceived inhibiting factor in using the STAD learning model is
the time it takes to complete the material to be increased, it is necessary to prepare the teaching
and organize the better teaching materials.
