PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN STRATEGI PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA
Abstract
Terdapat beberapa alasan, mengapa perlu ada pengembangan modul, antara lain; ketersediaan bahan sesuai tuntutan kurikulum, karakteristik sasaran, dan tuntutan pemecahan masalah. Selanjutnya, pengembangan modul diharapkan dapat membantu memecahkan masalah ataupun kesulitan dalam belajar. Pengembangan modul memerlukan strategi yang tepat agar dapat menjadi sarana yang dapat membantu siswa memecahkan masalah dan meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul dengan strategi pembelajaran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir. Modul ini diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan komunikasi matematika sehingga siswa dapat memecahkan masalah dalam belajar. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development/R&D). Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP PGRI Kras Kabupaten Kediri. Pengembangan modul menggunakan 6 tahapan dalam strategi pembelajaran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir. Untuk melihat kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, diambil 6 subjek dengan tingkat komunikasi matematis yang berbeda. Dan dari hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa modul dapat membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Kata Kunci : modul pembelajaran, strategi pembelajran peningkatan kemampuan berpikir (SPPKB), komunikasi matematis.
There are several reasons why modules should be developed. Those are availability of materials based on curriculum demands, target characteristics, and problem-solving demands. Furthermore, module development is expected to help in solving the problems or difficulty in learning. Module development requires an appropriate strategy in order to become a tool that can help students solve problems and improve students' mathematical communication skills. The purpose of this research is to develop the module with learning strategy to improve thinking ability. This module is expected to improve mathematical communication so that students can solve problems in learning. In this study the researcher uses research and development (R & D). The population of this study is the seventh grade students of SMP PGRI Kras Kabupaten Kediri. Module development uses 6 stages in learning strategy of thinking ability improvement. To see students' mathematical communication skills, six subjects with different levels of mathematical communication were taken. And from the results obtained, it shows that the module can help students improve their mathematical communication skills.
