Abstract

ABSTRACT
Work stress is a situation of emotional tension or pressure experienced by someone who is facing
enormous demands, barriers, and the existence of very important opportunities that can affect one's
emotions, thoughts, and physical condition. Stress can arise from two factors: on the job or off the job
where both of these factors can affect the individual at work. The populations in this study are all
employees of PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV HR & General (Administration). The types of data used are
primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods are observation research, questionnaire
distribution and literature. The methods of analysis data used is descriptive quantitative method by using
statistical analysis factor. The results of the study indicate that the internal factors that influence work
stress are greater than the external factors. The results of the study show that the dominant factor that
most influences employee work stress is the role conflict with value of 0.786. The second dominant factor
is role obscurity with value of 0.801. The third dominant factor is work authority that is not in accordance
with the implementation of responsibilities with value of 0.758.
