“BATU BERDAUN DAN PULUHAN DONGENG NUSANTARA”: ANALISIS FUNGSI VLADIMIR PROPP DAN MOTIF TINDAKAN PELAKU

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai berikut. Pertama, mengungkapkan fungsi tindakan pelaku pada cerita rakyat. Kedua, mengungkapkan motif tindakan pelaku berdasarkan fungsi cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori struktur naratologi yang dikembangkan oleh Vladimir Propp. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan studi pustaka untuk mengungkap fungsi dan motif tindakan pelaku dari lima cerita rakyat dalam “Batu Berdaun dan Puluhan Dongeng Nusantara”. Penelitian ini menghasilkan penyebaran fungsi dan motif tindakan pelaku dalam kelima cerita rakyat tersebut. Penyebaran fungsi ditemukan lingkungan tindakan yang terdapat dalam masing-masing cerita seperti pada Aji Saka terdapat dua lingkungan tindakan yakni lingkungan tindakan penjahat dan lingkungan tindakan penolong. Gunung Merapi terdapat satu lingkungan tindakan yakni lingkungan tindakan utusan. Ki Ageng Mangir Wanabaya terdapat satu lingkungan tindakan yaitu lingkungan tindakan pemberi. Kisah di Gua Kiskenda memiliki tiga lingkungan tindakan meliputi lingkungan tindakan penjahat, lingkungan tindakan pemberi, lingkungan tindakan utusan, lingkungan tindakan orang yang dicari dan cerita Reog Ponorogo memiliki satu lingkungan tindakan meliputi lingkungan tindakan pahlawan. Penemuan lingkungan tindakan tersebut dapat mengungkapkan motif tindakan pelaku yang membentuk kekuasaan dalam cerita, sehingga ditemukan motif-motif tindakan yang meliputi kekuasaan, kepatuhan, tipu daya, dan kepercayaan dalam kelima cerita rakyat tersebut.
