KONSTRUKSI AKHLAK ISLAM DALAM NOVEL “SUJUD CINTA DI MASJID NABAWI” KARYA PUTRI INDAH WULANDARI

Abstract

Novel is one of literary work genres which can reflect the real life phenomena of human both as the individual and part of society. Novel is interesting to investigate because it can be able to contain the phenomena which happened in past time, today, and future time. In the era of 2000th, the amount of Indonesian literary novels which refers to Al-Quran and Hadith are increasing and becomes phenomenal. Those novels also show the author’s concern in every life problems faced by Indonesian society. The Islamic teachings are constructed in the novel by the esthetic and avoiding dogmatic technique of presentation. It means, the Islamic teachings are applicated in society and nationality life through the characters in the novel that is colored by romantic love story inside which prioritizing ethics value, morality, and Islam. The focus of this article is how the Islamic teaching has a strong correlation with the behavior in Putri Indah Wulandari’s ‘Sujud Cinta di Masjid Nabawi’. Through the sociology of literature approach, the finding of this research shows that expressing the Islamic and nice values of behavior in the novel is important because one of novel functions is becoming the character education device for Indonesia which recently loss its self-identity of civilized and religious country. Besides, it also can be the media for reconditioning ethics, attitudes, behaviours, morals, and language usages of society. It shapes Indonesian to become the society that has good ethics and morals, in their attitudes, behaviors, and language usages.
